The commitment to responsible behaviour in business is an integral part of our management and corporate culture. The activities related to this are all part of the »Corporate Social Responsibility« (CRS) which also includes the aspect of »Sustainability«. The three pillars of our sustainability concept target the areas Economy, Environment and Society.  We aim to contribute to the sustainable development of the economy, environment and society with particular consideration to the interests of future generations.

Our goal is the long term protection of our company as a stable basis for employment and wealth.

We pursue a strategy for long term success and healthy growth. The company cultivates long term relationships with its customers as a reliable and trusted partner.

All business processes are subject to continuous improvement (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, etc.); a risk management system is also in place. Our permanent target is to find the best equilibrium of economic efficiency and sustainability.

Responsibility with regards to the environment means taking a comprehensive view of the subject and acting accordingly. Therefore, our commitment to the environment stretches across the entire supply chain: procurement, manufacturing and the properties of the final product. Many measures are taken for the implementation: the compliance with environmental directives, a reduction of chemical substances that are harmful to health or environment, the environmental representative, the purchasing of certified wood and our certified environment management system (according to ISO 14001/EMAS III*).

Environmentally friendly manufacturing processes:

  • Air pollution control and water savings especially by reduction of emissions in surface finishing (powder coating with solvent-free/emission-free paint, free of formaldehyde/PCB)
  • Energy efficiency/CO2 reduction with targeted use of energy/energy recycling and the use of efficient devices
  • Reduction of energy consumption, emissions and waste as a consequence of continuous process improvement

Careful use of resources:

  • Corporate culture that fosters environmental consciousness (e.g. by offering specialized training courses in resources and energy saving)
  • Reduction of waste in the context of a comprehensive waste management system (avoidance of waste and increase of recycling)
  • Efficient logistics by way of optimized routing and use of a less fuel consuming vehicle fleet

Environmental purchasing considerations

  • Reduction of chemical substances that are harmful to health or environment and information
    about materials and ingredients
  • Preferred cooperation with partners with (environmental) certificates

Environmental product considerations

  • We consider and respect environmental aspects in product design and development
  • Overall recyclability of products due to the modular shop-system
  • Preferred use of environmentally friendly materials (e.g. steel because of its longer economic life and complete recyclability)
  • Purchasing of natural raw materials and renewable resources (from certified sources)
  •  Selection of electronic components based on their energy efficiency (particularly lightning or cooling components)
  • Manufacturing »made in Germany« and avoidance of long transport routes by purchasing locally
  • Optimized transport and installation logistics
  • Avoidance of waste by packaging optimization and use of recyclable material
  • Taking back and recycling of products

Social responsibilities include a wide range of topics, e.g. with regards to our own staff or the company’s responsibilities towards society or the region. These are in particular:

  • Protection of employees interests and compliance with social standards (e.g. collective agreements)
  • Traineeships with subsequent employment as well as personnel development/training
  • Compliance with local environmental and social standards as well as with general principles in the countries of origin when purchasing (observance of human rights/core labour standards, no child labour, etc.)
